Bio: Roger Marshall

Valedictorian and a three sport varsity athlete at his high school , Roger
Marshall was born and raised in El Dorado,Kansas. He went on to obtain
degrees from Butler County County Community College, Kansas State
University, and the University of Kansas School of Medicine. In college, Dr.
Marshall participated in track,(decathlon ),was President of his fraternity
(Beta Theta Pi), and selected to Blue Key Honor society.

After finishing an Ob/gyn residency at Bay Front Medical Center,St
Petersburg, Florida, Dr Marshall and Laina, his wife of 30 years moved to
Great Bend, Kansas .

In addition to a full time practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr
Marshall became the president and chairman of Great Bend Regional Hospital,
and a board member for both Farmers Bank and Trust and Nueterra Health Care.
He is also president of Quivira Ranch,inc and LVMC,inc, both land,cattle,
and oil corporations.

Dr. Marshall has led mission trips to Haiti, Honduras,Kenya, and Hurricane
Katrina victims in Gulf Port,Mississippi. He and his family are active in
their church, and multiple community organizations. He is a founder and
original board member for the Golden Belt Community Foundation, has served
on the board of the Great Bend Chamber of commerce, and served as Chairman
of the First Christian Church of Great Bend(2005-9). Dr Marshall has coached
over 30 little league teams.

He has served as President of his local Rotary Club, as well as Assistant
District Governor. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, and Paul Harris Society
Member, and "Major Donor" to the Rotary Foundation.

He has led and been involved in multiple local Rotary Service Projects.

Currently,Dr Marshall serves the state of Kansas as a commissioner on the
Kansas Wildlife and Parks Commission, and the Governor's Ecotourism

Dr. Marshall served 7 years in the Army Reserve obtaining the rank of

Dr Marshall, Laina and their four children enjoy traveling, the outdoors,
and wildlife.
